Dodging monsoons

This is what a flight path from Hong Kong to Bangkok looks like when you are dodging the storms in monsoon season. And the video shows what happened at Bangkok Airport when the rain and thunder caught up with us.

Having just landed in Auckland and taken my jacket out of my case, I have discovered that everything inside is saturated. The case must have been outside for a while during the storm. Mind you, at the rate the rain came down, it wouldn't have taken more than a few seconds for that to happen.

First job when I get to Napier is to unpack and dry everything.
